Quantum Media Named—for the 2nd Time—as One of America’s Best Management Consulting Firms, by FORBES and Statista

March 16, 2021

Quantum Media Zoom meeting, 2021

Quantum Media was recognized as one of America’s best management consulting firms for 2021, after a survey of 7,500+ management consulting executives and partners along with 1,000+ senior executives who have worked with management consultancies. In total, just 231 management consultancies were named to the list. Read the story and full list

This is the second time Quantum Media was honored in this way, the first being in 2020. Again, Quantum Media is among the smallest firms named to the list, having five Principals and three Senior Consultants—quite a contrast with the giant McKinsey consulting firm.  The firm received 4 stars (frequently recommended) in the Internet, Media & Entertainment consulting category.

“We are so honored to be chosen as one of the best management consulting firms in America, for the second year in a row!” said Quantum Media Principal Ava Seave. “Since we were founded in 1998, we have worked very hard to bring actionable plans to our clients that will help their businesses grow and succeed, primarily in the media, information, and entertainment sectors.”

She said, “We have held Media Guru events with the Harvard Business School Club of New York for 23 years now, and that likely played a role in this.” She added that in 2021 so far, Quantum has booked four media legends for the program: Rick Berke, founder of STAT, the health and medical property; Jessica Lessin, founder of the finance/tech media company The Information; President and CEO of New York Public Media Goli Sheikholeslami; and Graydon Carter, longtime editor of Vanity Fair, now the head of the startup Airmail.

In addition, she cited Quantum Media as having been in on the ground floor of the digital transformation of so many media companies. “This, of course, was one of the most difficult challenges our industry ever faced, and we were well positioned to tackle it early on,” she said.

Quantum Media’s consulting work has spanned every aspect of the media business, from developing an Internet business strategy for a Fortune 500 company to advising a young entrepreneur on launching a niche digital product. Unlike the Principals of most consulting firms, Quantum Media’s five Principals all have held operating positions in major media companies, as CEOs, Presidents, and General Managers. Of the eight Principals and Senior Consultants, six hold MBAs (three from Harvard, one from Stanford, one from Wharton, and one from NYU), one holds an MS in Educational Psychology, and one holds a PMD from Harvard.
