Circling Back To: Neal Shapiro

Neal Shapiro was President and CEO of The WNET Group in 2015, when he was a featured speaker in Quantum's Media Guru series.
He continues in that role today at The WNET Group, overseeing public television stations in New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey, with a combined monthly audience of more than 9 million viewers. The WNET Group produces popular PBS series including Great Performances, American Masters, and Nature. Under Shapiro's leadership, arts and culture offerings have nearly doubled and new fundraising records have been set.
Before joining The WNET Group in 2007, Shapiro was President of NBC News. He also spent 13 years at ABC News as a writer and producer. Among the numerous awards he's received are 32 Emmys and 31 Edward R. Murrow Awards.
