The book co-authored by Jonathan Knee, Bruce Greenwald and Quantum Principal Ava Seave, has been declared "the best media book of the season" by Michael Wolff, founder of Newser and Vanity Fair columnist. Reviews and write ups have also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, NPR's On the Media and The Business, the AP, The Atlantic and Fortune among others.
Quantum Principals Volunteer to Teach High Schoolers Marketing for School Newspapers
Quantum Media Principals Carla Graubard and Ava Seave, along with colleague Brian O’Leary, principal of Magellan Media Consulting Partners, taught summer classes in July on marketing media web sites to high school students at Urban Assembly Media High School and Frank McCourt High School, both in Manhattan.
These summer classes are part of a larger program, run by retired Newsday reporter and editor Leslie Seifert, called Journalists in the Schools. The goal of the program is to revitalize student-run journalism at the high school level. It walks students through the publishing process, from the basic idea, to marketing, to reporting. The programs hopes to have new school papers launched in 12 NYC high schools within five years. Read More.
